The 4th Yuhuan Int'l Furniture Fair
Yuhuan Int'l Furniture Fair had successively been held for 4 times as from the year of 2001. The 5-day 4th Yuhuan Int'l Furniture Fair of 2004 was held at Yuhuan Center of Commercial Exhibition and Yuhuan Modern Furniture Mart, of which opening ceremony was attended by the embassies of 14 countries in China and more than 1000 businessmen at home and abroad. Over 200 exhibitors showed more than 1,000 pieces (sets) of serial furniture characteristic of classicality and modernism, wood machines and decorating materials in the fair. Its turnover and intentional turnover aggregated 310.00 million Yuan. It became a success with most exhibitors, varieties and customers.
The 1st China Island Culture Festival
On September 23-25, 2004, the 1st China Island Culture Festival was convened grandly at Yuhuan. The representatives from 13 island counties in the mainland and 2 in Taiwan assembled happily in Yuhuan in order to show their own local conditions and customs and exceptional island culture. Organized by the organizing committee of the 7th China Art Festival and undertaken by Taizhou People's Government and the Mass Cultural Activity Dept. under Organizing Committee of the 7th China Art Festival, it was executed by Yuhuan People's Government. In the Festival, five activities such as "Charm of Fishermen's Hometown" Nationwide Island Culture Show, "Marching into Liu Island" Photo Show of Island Scenery, and etc.
